MSPI News - August 2018

August/15/2018: MSPI ObjectX™, for Microsoft Windows 10, is currently undergoing a major technology-related upgrade. The purpose of the upgrade is to better-position this application for the future. Specifically: (1) The ObjectX application model is changing from "Windows Store" to "Universal Windows Platform (UWP)", (2) The User Interface (UI) technology is changing from a Microsoft XAML Template to a purpose-built XAML UI, and (3) The procedural logic is being transformed from Visual Basic to C#. Application-wide improvements, including performance-improvements and ease-of-use improvements are also being implemented as part of this upgrade. The new product will be released, to the Microsoft Store, as ObjectX Version 3.0 (V3) - after it has successfully completed Microsoft re-certification. It will retain full backwards compatibility with the ObjectX-structured Azure BLOB Storage Accounts that you are currently using. This project is expected to be completed within the next three weeks.

August/15/2018: MSPI Rekognized®, for Microsoft Windows 10, is also currently in development at MSPI: Rekognized will be a new UWP/XAML/C# application for Microsoft Windows 10 that utilizes Azure facial recognition technology to verify the identity of persons seeking access to controlled or critical resources. This project has a longer timeline. Details will be provided as the technological work progresses. Through the USPTO, MSPI has applied for the Registered Trademark for the word "Rekognized".

July/1/2018: In development at MSPI: A new UWP application for Microsoft Windows 10 that utilizes Azure facial recognition technology to verify the identity of persons seeking access to controlled or critical resources. Details will be provided as the project moves towards completion.

Nov/12/2017: ObjectX™ Release 5 (MSPI Version 1.5) has completed Microsoft re-Certification and has been re-introduced to the Microsoft Store. It has received minor internal changes, a new MSPI Digital Certificate and a pricing adjustment. In the Microsoft Store, the section titled "What's new in this version" incorrectly shows "Release Three".

July/18/2016: In the next few weeks, MSPI will be rebranding and re-releasing its CodeBook™ product under a new name. This action is being taken due to a trademark conflict with Zetetic, LLC. Zetetic has formally registered the term Codebook with the USPTO - effective June/28/2016. MSPI's new file encryption product for Windows 10 will be rebranded to the name SkyCipher®. MSPI SkyCipher® will retain complete backwards compatibility with the currently-available version of MSPI CodeBook.
